After the success of the first Industry Conference held during the Malaysia International Golf Fair 2010 from October 1-3, MGA will once again organize a second Conference; Industry Conference II to be held from December 15-17, 2011 at Holiday Inn, Glenmarie Resort.
With the vast development of the local golf industry, golf managers face increasing challenges to deliver more for their club members, accommodate diverse needs of local and overseas golfers, be it for tournaments or leisure play, while still addressing to environmental concerns.
In the MIGS’s Industry Conference II, themed ‘Trends & Challenges: Sharing a Destiny’, attendees will gain insights from leading international and local speakers to guide them in operating successful golf clubs. It also provides a forum to voice out issues and building platforms for collaborations in addressing industry challenges.
The SPEAKERS for the Industry Conference are as follows:
1. Bill Sanderson
Bill Sanderson has built a reputation over twenty plus years, as a highly acclaimed international speaker including many prestigious international Golf Conferences. He has enthralled audiences from all walks of life, all levels of management and all types of business.
“Entertaining, relevant, stimulating, thought provoking, practical, real life, motivational, inspirational- but always results driven” are regular comments from delegates whatever their nationality or management role.
Bill has a practical and common sense approach to business created by a successful background as a Director in major industrial businesses combined with his experience as a visiting lecturer at Manchester Business School. It is this unique combination that drives his passion to show delegates how to convert knowledge, experience and skill into the behavior that delivers performance.
2. Radin Ikram
Radin Ikram is no stranger to success as both a business owner and competitive player in the corporate world. Leaving a lucrative 14 years career with an international MNC, he started on his entrepreneurial journey by starting his own medical consultancy business that he runs with his wife. After 4 successful years as a business owner, he grabbed the opportunity to purchase the Action Business coaching franchise for West Malaysia to take on the challenge of sharing his knowledge with other business owners and helping them to fulfill their dreams. Within this new capacity he utilizes his wealth of experience as a coach as well as his ability to lead a team with passion and heart.
3. Gucharan Singh
Backed with more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Gurcharan Singh strongly advocates that educating and developing professionals this industry, namely in the front office is pivotal. Gurcharan is a manager who cherishes training and molding the staff to their fullest potential as much as he derives satisfaction from seeing his trained personnel establishing themselves in the industry.
Currently, Gurcharan is pursuing his MBA in Tourism & Hospitality, via the Tourism Institute of Australia at the Excel Learning Centre in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur and also the Cambridge International Diploma in Teaching & Training at KDU University College.

The rate of the Industry Conference is RM650.00 nett per pax inclusive of participation in the Charity Golf. If you do not wish to participate in the Charity Golf, the rate is RM550.00 nett per pax.
We have applied a training grant scheme from the Human Resources Development Fund (Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad) under the Ministry of Human Resource to allow eligible employers/golf clubs to claim the delegate fee.
